The engine must not cut out during flight, so the throttle output shall never drop to engine shutoff value even when the throttle stick is pulled to its minimum travel. If the baseline servo output at full-down throttle stick remains excessively high, fine-tune via the idle parameter to reduce servo travel down to a low idle level.
Typical reference values: Servo output = 100 at minimum throttle stick position; engine cutoff servo value = 130; target idle servo value set to 115.
Enable or disable the idle function via the idle setup menu. After enabling the function, assign a physical switch to activate idle and configure idle output as a percentage value.
For glow/gas RC engines, pulling the throttle stick all the way down shall not shut down the motor; engine shutdown is exclusively triggered by a dedicated throttle cut switch.
Throttle Cut enabled, assigned to Switch C with active position set to Down, stick trigger threshold set to 18%, cut offset ratio at -30%.
When the throttle stick is pulled down to the 18% mark, throttle servo output instantly jumps to the minimum cutoff value of -130.
